This handsome little guy is sweet and calm, yet can't get enough of playtime with his brothers and sisters.
Bryce was born at 4:02AM Tuesday March 10th 2020 and weighed in at 9.4 ounces. He was the 6th to be born in his litter and the second red. After his cleanup he started nursing right away. What a little bundle of joy!
3/10/20 - 3/16/20
This week was all about nursing and gaining weight. So close to breaking one pound!
- Day 7: 15.7 oz
- Day 6: 13.8 oz
- Day 5: 12.8 oz
- Day 4: 11.9 oz
- Day 3: 11.2 oz
- Day 2: 10.1 oz
- Day 1: 9.5 oz
On day 2, Bryce had a puppy wellness exam and given a clean bill of health from our local Veterinarian.
On day 4, Bryce had Veterinarian perfomed dewclaw and tail.
3/17/20 - 3/23/20
Weight gain has started to ramp up this week, he broke that 1lb mark and then some!
- Day 14: 1 lb 11.3 oz
- Day 13: 1 lb 10 oz
- Day 12: 1 lb 7.7 oz
- Day 11: 1 lb 5.8 oz
- Day 10: 1 lb 4.1 oz
- Day 9: 1 lb 2.5 oz
- Day 8: 1 lb 0.9 oz
He started standing more and walking a bit more than last week, even if he did look like a drunken sailor!
3/24/20 - 3/30/20
His eyes are finally open to see the world.
Still a drunken sailor but starting to get his sea legs! He's really moving around this week.

He broke the 2 lb mark!
3/31/20 - 4/6/20
With wide open eyes and ears, he started to see and hear his surrounding and begin to understand what they are "I hear mom comming, look there she is, lunch time!!"
So many new things to experience, he started playing a lot more with his playmates and discovering all the fun chew toys!

- Day 26: 3 lb .3 oz
- Day 25: 2 lb 14.9 oz
- Day 24: 2 lb 13 oz

He broke the 3 lb mark!
At the end of the week, the pen was doubled in size and potty training began.
4/7/20 - 4/13/20
With a great start to potty training it was time to move on to more grueling (just being punny) tasks.
Day 30 marked the first day eating a bit of puppy gruel. Big Sur learned immediately to eat from the bowl giving mom a much needed temporary break from all the nursing.

-Day 34: 4 lb 4.6 oz
-Day 33: 4 lb 0.1 oz
-Day 32: 3 lb 13.8 oz
-Day 31: 3 lb 12.2 oz
-Day 30: 3 lb 7.1 oz.
-Day 29: 3 lb 5.5 oz.
4/14/20 - 4/20/20
With gruel last week and a move to wet kibble this, Bryce started to gain weight at an accelerated pace. And with all that started to show some of that puppy energy.
He's showing much more interest in the toys now running and jumping and having the time of his life with his littermates. Wait until he sees the great outdoors!
