This handsome guy is energetic and playful. Always the first to jump up and just can't wait to be picked up and loved. What a great companion he will be!
Sequoia was born at 3:37AM Tuesday March 10th 2020 and weighed in at 11.1 ounces. He was the 4th to be born in his litter and the first red. After his cleanup he started nursing right away. What a little bundle of joy!
3/10/20 - 3/16/20
This week was all about nursing and gaining weight. Breaking one pound in the first week, way to go!
- Day 7: 1 lb 2.1 oz
- Day 6: 1 lb 0 oz
- Day 5: 15.7 oz
- Day 4: 14.2 oz
- Day 3: 13.2 oz
- Day 2: 11.8 oz
- Day 1: 11.1 oz
On day 2, Sequoia had a puppy wellness exam and given a clean bill of health from our local Veterinarian.
On day 4, Sequoia had a Veterinarian perfomed dewclaw and tail.
3/17/20 - 3/23/20
Weight gain has started to ramp up this week, he was so close to breaking that 2lb mark!
- Day 14: 1 lb 14.8 oz
- Day 13: 1 lb 12.6 oz
- Day 12: 1 lb 12.2 oz
- Day 11: 1 lb 9.3 oz
- Day 10: 1 lb 7.6 oz
- Day 9: 1 lb 6.2 oz
- Day 8: 1 lb 3.6 oz
He started standing more and walking a bit more than last week.
3/24/20 - 3/30/20
His eyes are finally open to see the world and he's really moving around this week.
- Day 21: 2 lb 10.5 oz
- Day 20: 2 lb 7.6 oz
- Day 19: 2 lb 5.3 oz
- Day 18: 2 lb 4.2 oz
- Day 17: 2 lb 2.1 oz
- Day 16: 2 lb 0.4 oz

He broke the 2 lb mark!
3/31/20 - 4/6/20
With wide open eyes and ears, he started to see and hear his surrounding and begin to understand what they are "I hear footsteps, look theres someone there, play time!!"
So many new things to experience, he started playing a lot more with his playmates and discovering all the fun chew toys!

- Day 27: 3 lb 5.7 oz
- Day 26: 3 lb 5.0 oz
- Day 25: 3 lb 3.3 oz
- Day 24: 3 lb 1.4 oz
- Day 23: 2 lb 15 oz
- Day 22: 2 lb 12.7 oz
He broke the 3 lb mark!
At the end of the week, the pen was doubled in size and potty training began.
4/7/20 - 4/13/20
With a great start to potty training it was time to move on to more grueling (just being punny) tasks.
Day 30 marked the first day eating a bit of puppy gruel. Sequoia took to it in no time and proceded to surpass Big Sur in weight!

-Day 33: 4 lb 14 oz
-Day 32: 4 lb 8.1 oz
-Day 31: 4 lb 3.8 oz
-Day 30: 4 lb 0.2 oz.
-Day 29: 3 lb 9.1 oz.
First to 4lbs, and hit 5lbs, way to go Sequoia!
4/14/20 - 4/20/20
With gruel last week and a move to wet kibble this, Sequoia started to gain weight at an accelerated pace. And with all that started to show some of that puppy energy.
He's showing much more interest in the toys now running and jumping and having the time of his life with his littermates. Wait until he sees the great outdoors!
-Day 42: 7 lb 9.4 oz
-Day 41: 7 lb 4.5 oz
-Day 40: 6 lb 13.4 oz
-Day 39: 6 lb 10.4 oz
-Day 38: 6 lb 6.2 oz
-Day 37: 6 lb 2.3 oz.
-Day 36: 5 lb 13.2 oz.
This week Sequoia surpassed Big Sur and took the crown as biggest puppy in the litter!
